Randy became interested in dentistry at an early age when his dentist (a family friend) took the time to encourage his natural interest in the healing arts — and his passion for the profession continues to grow.
He chose surgery as his specialty because he enjoys doing intricate work with his hands, because he appreciates the scientific precision of modern surgical techniques, and — most of all — because he loves making a genuine, lasting difference in his patients' lives. It's something he has been doing in Gainesville since 1972.
And it's that personal side of his work that he finds most rewarding. That's why he makes mission trips each year to provide medical aid to impoverished families. It's why he has mentored many up-and-coming dentists and surgeons, just as he was inspired by that family dentist many years ago. And that's why he treats each and every one of his patients like a member of his family.
Randy and his wife, Patty (a former pre-school teacher who also works in the practice) have two grown sons, David and Stephen.
Away from the office he enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and photography.
