Meet Dr. Ratliff

Dr. RatliffHello Gainesville,

I would like to introduce my family to the Gainesville area! My wife, Maureen, and I met in this beautiful town in 2001 while at the University of Florida. Since that time we have traveled the Southeastern Conference only to return to the greatest town in the south! Gainesville! We cannot explain how happy we are to be back and look forward to meeting you and your families in the future.

After leaving Gainesville, I was able to return close to home to attend the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky. I am originally from a small town, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky which is known as the “Gateway to the Mountains”. Half way through my first year Maureen and I were married in her home town of Los Angeles, California. While in dental school, during my fourth year, we had our first son Owen (7) and our lives changed for forever.
Next, we moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where I completed my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency and Medical School at Louisiana State University. While in Shreveport Maureen was a competitive swim coach where she grew a small team of 18 kids to 180 kids over six years. During our time in Shreveport we were blessed with two more sons, Cole (5), and Ford (2).

Maureen and I were varsity swimmers for the University of Florida and cherished our time here as student athletes. When looking for a final home we were lured back to town by Caton and Taylor Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We fell in love with Randy and JR and the community of Gainesville. We love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding bikes, skateboarding, and going to the Gator football games with the boys.

I specialize in wisdom teeth extraction, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, oral and maxillofacial pathology, disorders of the TMJ, facial reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea, and facial cosmetic surgery. Please come and see us at Caton and Taylor for an evaluation any time.

Sincerely,

Will Ratliff DMD MD
